Welcome to NHS South West Essex
NHS South West Essex is the primary care trust for south west Essex. We commission health services for people living in Basildon, Billericay, Brentwood, Thurrock and Wickford. This means that we plan, develop and buy health services for residents living in these areas.
It's our role to ensure that there are enough GPs to provide for our area and make certain that other health services including hospitals, dentists, mental health care, NHS Direct, patient transport, screening, pharmacies and opticians are all available.
Our aim is to improve the health of the population of South West Essex, and ensure that the services you need are where you need them at a time convenient to you.
